I didn’t know they were Ukrainian: Ken Kostick

Came across this recently, who knew?

He sums up his humble beginnings with a few phrases: Ukrainian family. Lovely parents. North end of Winnipeg. Not a lot of money. Always had good food. In fact, he and his dad were in charge of doing the week’s shopping.

Kostick trained to be an elementary school teacher but never worked as one. His teaching skills have come in handy, though, since his first cooking show in 1994, What’s For Dinner? with co-host Mary Jo Eustace, and the steady stream of down-to-earth cookbooks that followed.
